Eriochloa grandiflora adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia, Brazil selatan, Bolivia, hingga Brazil selatan,and Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Eriochloa grandiflora pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 1881.
