Eriogonum thompsoniae merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Polygonaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Utah hingga Arizona. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan thompson's buckwheat. Nama ilmiah Eriogonum thompsoniae pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Sereno Watson pada tahun 1873.
