Eriophorum viridicarinatum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan thinleaf cottonsedge. Nama ilmiah Eriophorum viridicarinatum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Georg Engelmann pada tahun 1905.
