Eriosema strictum merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Brazil dan Paraguay. Nama ilmiah Eriosema strictum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1849.
