Eriotheca obcordata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil timur laut. Nama ilmiah Eriotheca obcordata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Andre Georges Marie Walter Albert Robyns pada tahun 1975.
