Ernestia ovata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Kolombia. Nama ilmiah Ernestia ovata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alfred Cogniaux pada tahun 1887.
