Eryngium tzeltal merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Meksiko (Oaxaca, Chiapas). Nama ilmiah Eryngium tzeltal pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Lincoln Constance pada tahun 1980.
