Erythrina edulis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan bagian barat hingga Venezuela barat laut. Nama ilmiah Erythrina edulis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama José Jerónimo Triana pada tahun 1892.
