Erythrina pygmaea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Angola (Huíla). Nama ilmiah Erythrina pygmaea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Antonio Rocha da Torre pada tahun 1965.
