Erythroxylum novogranatense merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Erythroxylaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia hingga Venezuela barat laut dan Peru. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan java coca, Truxillo coca, atau Colombian coca. Nama ilmiah Erythroxylum novogranatense diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Daniel Morris pada tahun 1895.
