Eschweilera tenax adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lecythidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Trinidad hingga Venezuela. Nama ilmiah Eschweilera tenax pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Wilhelm Karl Moritz pada tahun 1874.
