Escontria chiotilla merupakan tumbuhan sukulen berbentuk perdu dari famili Cactaceae (suku kaktus-kaktusan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko tengah dan barat daya. Nama ilmiah Escontria chiotilla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Frédéric Albert Constantin Weber pada tahun 1906.
