Eucalyptus astringens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Myrtaceae (suku jambu-jambuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia barat daya. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan brown mallet. Nama ilmiah Eucalyptus astringens diperkenalkan oleh Joseph Maiden pada tahun 1924.
