Eucalyptus odorata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Myrtaceae (suku jambu-jambuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Australia Selatan hingga Victoria barat. Nama ilmiah Eucalyptus odorata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hans Hermann Behr pada tahun 1847.
