Eumachia podocephala merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia hingga Guyana dan Brazil bagian barat. Nama ilmiah Eumachia podocephala pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johannes Müller Argoviensis pada tahun 2015.
