Euphorbia acanthothamnos merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Yunani, Kepulauan Aegea, Kriti, Türkiye. Nama ilmiah Euphorbia acanthothamnos diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Theodor Heinrich Hermann von Heldreich pada tahun 1859.
