Euphorbia stricta merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eropa hingga Iran utara. Nama ilmiah Euphorbia stricta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1759.
