Euphorbia tenax adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semisukulen dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan) yang bebentuk perdu atau perdu kecil. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya dan barat-tengah. Nama ilmiah Euphorbia tenax pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis William John Burchell pada tahun 1822.
