Euphorbia tithymaloides subsp. retusa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tibet hingga China (Shaanxi, Sichuan dan Yunnan). Nama ilmiah Euphorbia tithymaloides subsp. retusa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 2003.
