Euryops empetrifolius merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Provinsi Cape hingga Provinsi Free State (Afsel) dan Lesotho. Nama ilmiah Euryops empetrifolius diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1838.
