Evolvulus tenuis merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tenggara hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Evolvulus tenuis diperkenalkan oleh Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1837.
