Evolvulus tomentosus merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Evolvulus tomentosus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Daniel Friedrich Meissner pada tahun 1934.
