Fagus japonica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fagaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang tengah dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Fagus japonica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Maximowicz pada tahun 1886.
