Ferocactus pottsii merupakan tumbuhan sukulen berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Cactaceae (suku kaktus-kaktusan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko (Sonora, Sinaloa, Chihuahua). Nama ilmiah Ferocactus pottsii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joseph zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck pada tahun 1961.
