Ferula glauca merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mediterania hingga Jazirah Arab. Nama ilmiah Ferula glauca pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1753.
