Festuca amethystina subsp. orientalis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Carpathians timur dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Festuca amethystina subsp. orientalis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Vladimir Joseph Krajina pada tahun 1930.
