Festuca ampla adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Portugal, Spanyol tengah dan selatan, hingga Maroko. Nama ilmiah Festuca ampla diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Eduard Hackel pada tahun 1880.
