Festuca amurensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Rusia Timur Jauh. Nama ilmiah Festuca amurensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Evgenii Borisovich Alexeev pada tahun 1980.
