Festuca asperella adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Meksiko tengah. Nama ilmiah Festuca asperella diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Evgenii Borisovich Alexeev pada tahun 1981.
