Ficinia ecklonea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Ficinia ecklonea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel pada tahun 1834.
