Ficinia sylvatica merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Ficinia sylvatica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1837.
