Ficinia zeyheri merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Ficinia zeyheri pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Otto Boeckeler pada tahun 1871.
