Ficus assamica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Moraceae (suku ara-araan) yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya hingga China bagian selatan-tengah dan Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Ficus assamica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel pada tahun 1848.
