Ficus calyptrata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Moraceae (suku ara-araan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Afrika barat dan barat-tengah. Nama ilmiah Ficus calyptrata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Martin Vahl pada tahun 1805.
