Ficus trigona merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Moraceae (suku ara-araan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Ficus trigona diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Linnaeus the Younger pada tahun 1782.
