Fimbristylis aspera adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Guyana hingga Brazil. Nama ilmiah Fimbristylis aspera pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Heinrich Adolph Schrader pada tahun 1871.
