Fimbristylis dura merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Hainan hingga wilayah tropis Asia. Nama ilmiah Fimbristylis dura pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Heinrich Zollinger pada tahun 1916.
