Fimbristylis tenera merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah anak benua India. Nama ilmiah Fimbristylis tenera pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Josef August Schultes pada tahun 1824.
