Flaveria trinervia merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di kawasan tropis dan subtropis Amerika . Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan clustered yellowtops. Nama ilmiah Flaveria trinervia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Curt Polycarp Joachim Sprengel pada tahun 1901.
