Fleischmanniopsis leucocephala merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Nikaragua. Nama ilmiah Fleischmanniopsis leucocephala pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1971.
