Foetidia africana merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lecythidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Tanzania timur laut (Uzaramo Distr.). Nama ilmiah Foetidia africana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Bernard Verdcourt pada tahun 1985.
