Freesia caryophyllacea merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Freesia caryophyllacea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Nicolaas Laurens Burman pada tahun 1939.
