Freesia marginata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya (Breede River Valley). Nama ilmiah Freesia marginata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Charles Manning pada tahun 2005.
