Freesia praecox adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Freesia praecox diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Charles Manning pada tahun 2010.
