Gahnia aspera adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan round sawsedge. Nama ilmiah Gahnia aspera pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Robert Brown pada tahun 1825.
