Galega somalensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Ethiopia selatan. Nama ilmiah Galega somalensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Paul Hermann Wilhelm Taubert pada tahun 1963.
