Galianthe fastigiata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Paraguay timur hingga Brazil timur-tengah dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Galianthe fastigiata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama August Heinrich Rudolf Grisebach pada tahun 1879.
