Galium thasium merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Yunani (Pulau Thasos). Nama ilmiah Galium thasium diperkenalkan oleh Nikolai Andreev Stojanov pada tahun 1946.
