Galium verrucosum merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Mediterania. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan warty bedstraw. Nama ilmiah Galium verrucosum diperkenalkan oleh William Hudson pada tahun 1767.
