Galopina tomentosa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian) yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah KwaZulu-Natal. Nama ilmiah Galopina tomentosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Ferdinand Friedrich Hochstetter pada tahun 1844.
